松下宣布将开发无钴电动汽车电池

 特斯拉电池供应商日本松下公司 1 月 12 日在 CES 2021 消费电子展上表示，将致力于开发不使用钴的锂离子电池。公司希望在 2-3 年内实现电池无钴化。

 

松下北美业务负责人 Michael Moskowitz 透露了这一消息。此前，松下电池供应客户特斯拉也已宣布计划将钴的使用比率降为 0%。

 

钴在地壳中的平均含量为 0.001%（质量），自然界已知含钴矿物近百种，但没有单独的钴矿物，因此产量稀少，价格昂贵，全球大部分钴产量来自刚果（金）和赞比亚。由于钴不参与电化学反应，在高镍的同时降低钴含量是提高电池能量密度，降低电池成本的好办法。因此，在以高镍体系为共识的前提下，包括松下、LG、宁德时报在内的主流动力电池公司都在努力降低钴的使用率。

　　

作为松下长久的电池供应客户，特斯拉此前就已经宣布计划将钴的使用比例降为零。松下北美业务负责人迈克尔·莫斯科维茨（Michael Moskowitz）表示，松下将与专注电动汽车电池回收的初创企业 Redwood Materials 合作，致力于电池材料的回收再利用。而 Redwood Materials 的创始人正是特斯拉前首席技术官斯特劳贝尔（J.B．Straubel）。

 

但钴是稀有金属，价格昂贵，因此这也成为电动汽车电池成本降低的障碍。
