微软宣布 2019 停止支援 Windows 10 Mobile
微软（Microsoft）在智能型手机的失败再添一笔，宣布未来将停止支援 Windows 10 Mobile，而 2019 年 12 月的更新将为 Windows 10 Mobile 画下句点。
Windows 10 Mobile 只是微软在行动领域溃败的一环，2017 年微软作业系统事业群副总裁 Joe Belfiore 表示，不会开发手机板 Windows 新功能，而会和计算机版相同。Windows 10 手机版最新版本为 2017 年底更新的 1709 版，可见微软早已无心恋战。微软就只是根据需求进行除错和安全性更新，不过就连这样的更新也将在 2019 年终结。
微软 2017 年就停止支援 Windows Phone 8.1，2019 年 12 月 10 日发布 Windows 10 Mobile 最后一次安全更新，此后就不再支援 Windows 10 Mobile。未来 Windows 10 Mobile 的装置安全性会因缺乏安全更新而逐渐下降，云端服务和同步功能也会在 2020 年 3 月 10 日关闭。部分在线工具可在停止支援后继续使用，不过微软不对这些服务做任何保证。
微软表示，会告知 Windows Mobile 的使用者在停止支援前，尽早转换到 Android 或 iOS 平台，剩下的少数用户还有不到一年的时间可「逃难」。微软原先把自家软件和服务绑定 Windows Phone，但随着 Windows Phone 彻底溃败，微软也放弃这个做法。如今用户可在 Android 和 iOS 选择微软应用程序，或许 Windows Mobile 仅存的死忠用户会对此感到些许安慰。
