160亿美元能拿下东芝芯片业务?KKR到底有啥优势

2006年，日本东芝斥资6000多亿日元收购了美国核电子公司西屋电气，力争扩大海外的核电业务。去年12月份，媒体报道，西屋已经持续巨额亏损，亏损金额达到数十亿美元，为此，东芝方面希望通过出售资产来填补资产负债表中出现的财务漏洞，而东芝半导体部门成为了首选。据此前媒体报道的消息称，东芝的目标是在2018年3月前完成芯片业务的出售。

今日（5月9日），外媒爆料称，有知情人士表示，私募股权公司KKR正在与东芝公司磋商，想获得东芝旗下存储芯片业务的优先购买权，从而让东芝加快完成出售交易，结束与其他潜在收购方的磋商。

对此，知情人士表示，东芝对于KKR的提议非常感兴趣，因为公司现在急需大量的现金，KKR以及包括日本政策投资银行在内的合作伙伴已表示，将出价1.8万亿日元至2.1万亿日元收购东芝芯片业务，能够满足东芝的要求。

此外，还另有消息称，西部数据公司CEO计划在本周访问日本，讨论加入这一收购财团的可能性。

其实在很早，就有很多公司表示对东芝芯片部门兴趣十足，比如台湾鸿海精密、韩国SK海力士以及美国博通等，鸿海已表示愿意最高出价3万亿日元，但由于担心鸿海把东芝技术泄露给中国，日本方面对这桩交易可能有很大阻力，SK海力士和博通可能会面临监管部门的严格审查，原因是他们已经在从事芯片业务。

对于以上，东芝以及KKR官方都没有进行回应。
