丰田汽车于上周六表示，至2016年底已出清所持有的特斯拉汽车(Tesla) 股份，因两家公司之间关于电动车研发的合作已停止。
此前，丰田汽车以5,000万美元收购特斯拉约3%股份。丰田汽车发言人Ryo Sakai表示，至2016年底止，该公司已出售所有特斯拉持股，这是例行定期投资检讨的一部份。
“我们与特斯拉的开发伙伴关系已经结束一段时间，由于这方面没有新的进展，我们认为卖掉剩余持股的时机已到。”他说。
另据美国《华尔街日报》网站6月5日报道，丰田汽车发言人6月3日没有透露交易时间以及出售股份的利得。但特斯拉股价一直大涨，过去一年涨幅超过50%。丰田汽车最近的披露文件显示，该公司去年3月份持有23亿股特斯拉股份，当时价值531亿日元(约合4.8亿美元)。
丰田汽车2014年出售了部分特斯拉股份，此前宣布特斯拉不再是丰田电动版RAV4的供应商。该车型已停产。
出售剩余股份标志着丰田汽车和硅谷新贵特斯拉正式终止合作关系。
