滑动变阻器的连接方式：
第一种，限流式接法:这种接法中滑动变阻器只有一部分接入电路，其中接入电路的是露出部分(即电流流过的部分)，滑动变阻器接入电路的阻值与露出部分同增同减。实物连接时只需接一上一下两个接线柱。
第二种，分压式接法：这种接法中滑动变阻器的一部分与其他用电器并联后，再与露出部分串联。滑动变阻器接入电路的有效值与露出部分同增同减。
第三种，自身并联式:这种接法中，滑动变阻器的两部分是并联关系，电流在滑片处分流。当滑片处在中间时，滑动变阻器接入电路的阻值最大。
滑动变阻器的工作原理：
滑动变阻器是电学中常用器件之一，它的工作原理是通过改变接入电路部分电阻线的长度来改变电阻的，从而逐渐改变电路中的电流大小。滑动变阻器的电阻丝一般是熔点高，电阻大的镍铬合金，金属杆一般是电阻小的金属，所以电阻丝越长，电阻越大，电阻丝越短，电阻越小。
